What is Chaitra Navratri?
The spring Navratri runs from the lunar new year to Ram Navami. Each day honours one of the Navadurga, from Shailaputri to Siddhidatri, with the kalasha installed on day one as the goddess's seat.
In North India many households fast all nine days; in Maharashtra the new-year gudi rises on the first morning. The span above runs from Ghatasthapana to the ninth day, Ram Navami.
Muhurat on Chaitra Navratri
Ghatasthapana on day one must be done in a shubh muhurat — classically the morning, avoiding Rahu Kaal and an empty (rikta) tithi. The Abhijit Muhurat listed for the start day is the fallback; the app computes the exact ghatasthapana window.
